Every serious yacht broker knows it is his lucky day when he gets to list a very special boat, and Aurora is just that. She has been in our company family now for over a decade, and her owners have never hesitated to spend lavishly upon her to keep her in tip top order. She is as "turn key" a Catana 58 as you could find, having just come across the Atlantic, to the Caribbean, in the 2014 ARC rally.

Aurora was first launched in 2002 for a family in San Francisco, sailed in the Med and Caribbean for three seasons, and was then sold by us to another California owner. Her current owners stepped in a few years ago to enjoy sailing her in the Med. She was in the Caribbean in January 2014 and sailed her way to Fort Lauderdale, Florida this past Spring. Current owners installed two brand new Yanmar engines, a new generator, in 2009 all new North 3DL sails, upgraded electronics, systems, you name it. She has been totally gone over and is in top mechanical order, with all the kit required to sail anywhere in the world, including heat, air con, Sat COM, watermaker, solar...just see her extensive inventory and you will understand. We have also noted here in her inventory the dates for all recent upgrades.

Aurora is a four cabin version, with onsuite heads, and was done in the light maple version interior. Her overall interior condition is very good and her exterior condition is excellent. She's a very impressive yacht, with fast sails, recent engines and gen. If you are the sort of buyer who has no appetite for any sort of refit project, who wants to own a truly turn-key Catana 58, Aurora is a must see. She is presently in the Carribean, as of January, 2014, but will be working her way slowly North to Florida as the season rolls along. To set up a showing, please contact us to so we can pinpoint her current location for a showing and organize it properly for you.

Note: Aurora is a totally VAT paid. She can be purchased and flagged in any EU country and has a proven, documented, VAT status.

She was constructed in the south of France by catamaran manufacturer Chantier Catana. She was delivered and commissioned in June of 2002 to her full time cruising owners. She has four staterooms with four private head/shower combinations. The forward starboard hull has separate crew accommodations. Every cabin has a DVD player and a flat screen television set (optional). In total, she sleeps 10 people comfortably.

She is a completely outfitted world cruising yacht. Every system is 100% maintained and is in functioning order. She was hauled in October 2013 and received new bottom paint, cutlass bearings, prop shaft seals, thrust bearings, engine co-plugs and zincs. After completing two Mediterranean/ Caribbean summer/winter circuits, 2 ARC's, and 3 Atlantic crossings she has proven herself as a very fast and able cruiser.
