Catana 531 - “Mantra I ”

Catana 531 - “Mantra I ”

The seller of this fine Catana 53 has just lowered the price by over $50,000, and is motivated to sell her. He has just installed a lovely new bimini and her interior condition is truly outstanding for a boat of her vintage. This is a large, powerful Catana that is perfectly suited for world voyaging, and she has already proven her metal with sails into the far North and througout the Med and Carribean. Seller of this yacht is moving to Tahiti and must sell the boat for a very simple reason - his dock in Tahiti is too small for his Catana 53. As such, he will consider taking in trade a smaller cat, about forty feet in length, or perhaps as an interim solution a monohull of this size. To learn more about her, please give us a call.

We all know Mantra very well here at The Multihull Company. She was first launched in 1994 for a serious French yachtsman and named Espirit de Tizza. He sailed her for over a decade all over the Med and up and down the Carribean and U.S. East Coast. We then sold her in Annapolis to a home builder who took her to Florida and gave her a near total refit, including two large new Yanmar engines in 2004. The Catana 53 is a large and very serious voyaging yacht for a couple or family who need the speed and payload capacity you can only get from hulls of this length and beam. Mantra has been well maintained by her current owner, recently had her mast repainted, and is well equipped for any sort of distance voyaging. If you need the size of a 53 for the same price as a later vintage 471, Mantra may just be the boat for you. Please see her extensive inventory and call us if you have any questions at all. Mantra is jointly marketed by our East Coast office, as well as with our Seattle office and broker Matt Dunning.
