The Catana 48 is the "Landrover" of the seas. I know this model and this particular hull quite well having had the opportunity to sail her in the chanel between Martinique and St. Lucia in trade wind conditons and 8-10 foot seas. OCEANE is the property of a professional skipper and worldwide traveller who has done crewed charters in the Windward Islands for the past five years. He and his wife are headed back to shore for other adventures. This cat has been continually maintained and upgraded by it's live-aboard owners. She had a substantial refit in 2005 that included new engines, sails, a hard-top bimini, the addition of solar panels and upgrade of nav electronics. More recenlty the owner has replaced the standing rigging (2007), re-surfaced the transom steps (2010), replaced the outboard engine (2010) and painted the topsides (2011).
