AS SEEN ON THE COVER OF BLUE WATER SAILING
JUST REDUCED $60,000! THE OWNER IS MOTIVATED TO SELL SO BRING IN YOUR BEST OFFERS.

Two years ago the owner of this yacht came to us to create the ultimate high performance cruising Dolphin 460. A year or so later, Lorilie was launched, and I have sailed her in Grenada and boy is she fast and gorgeous. Lorilie has a custom, fully rotating carbon wing foil mast, bowsprit, Spectra sails, spinnaker, screecher, etc., and then on top of that divinicell floors, bulkheads, etc, to keep her as light as she can be. On top of that, just look at her inventory - is there anything she doesn't have for the serious world voyager? The owner of this boat is selling her for the simple reason that his work as a research scientist and new marriage do not allow him the time to use the boat nearly as much as he had planned. He lives in the Midwest, but keeps the boat in South Florida. So Lorilie is as close to new as you can get, with very low engine hours and use. Please take a look at her extensive inventory. She can be viewed easily at our docks in Hollywood, Florida. Just give Phil a call to set up a showing.

On Deck
Pontoons, platform and deck: Vacuum-bound fiberglass composite, polyester resin and PVC foam core (Divinicel).

This construction process adopts the vacuum-bag lamination system which successfully associates resistance with minimal amounts of material. The end result is a lightweight and very resistant composite similar to the kind observed in high-performance racing cars. The fibers contained in this composite run in a multitude of directions to properly meet the strain and tension the vessel experiences.

The structural bulkheads are projected and manufactured in PVC (Divinicel) with vacuum-bound bi-axial glass-fiber. The project includes two water-tight bulkheads in each pontoon.

The rudders are built in polyester-glass, vacuum-bound around a high density PVC (Divinicel) frame.
  • The rudder axles are made of 316 L stainless steel
  • Mechanical nylon sleeves
  • PVC glass-polyester boards
Mast, boom and bow-beam are made of carbon

Finishing
The external parts of the pontoons, the deck and cabin are coated with white Gelcoat with pyramidal no-skid in the horizontal segments. The hull is decorated with stripes above the water-line and around the beams.

The part of the hull that is to remain submerged receives an epoxy resin to ward off osmosis.

Application of anti-fouling paint (labor)
The interior of the compartments, pits and storage areas are coated with “gel”.
